Viola Frances Delp

Viola Morris Delp age 83 of Taylorsville, North Carolina passed away Wednesday October 28, 2026 in the Frye Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Delp was born in Pulaski, Virginia on October 25, 1943 to John Henry and Ethel Burnett Morris. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Edward Douglas Delp and several sisters and brothers.

She is survived by her children and spouses Darlene and John Whitener of Mountain City, Tennessee; Ginger and Kenneth Wilson, Sr. of Taylorsville, North Carolina; Rodney and Constance Delp of Maiden, North Carolina; sister and brother-in-law Ellen and Ronald Whitaker of Lubbock, Texas; grandchildren and spouses Tyler and Bobbie Sue Whitener; Brandy and Chris Eckard; Kenny and Stephanie Wilson; Michael and Mandy Wilson; Cory and Jessie Wilson; Rodney Delp, Jr.; Nicole and Soctt Howard; sixteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; several extended family members in the Delp Family .

A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM in the Walker Cemetery with Pastor Hampton Drum officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
