Vincent Claude Swinney age 84 of Fries, Virginia passed away Monday, January 28, 2013 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.
Mr. Swinney was born in Carroll County, Virginia on December 7, 1928 to Terry and Emma Waller Swinney.
He is survived by his wife Anna M. Swinney of Fries, Virginia; children and spouses Joyce and Larry Akers of Galax, Virginia; Junior Swinney; Darrell and Debbie Swinney; Timmy and Cindy Swinney all of Fries, Virginia; sister Hazel Hodge of Ivanhoe, Virginia; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A private funeral service was held Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church with Rev. Bob Adams officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church Cemetery.
