Vickie Lee Gillespie age 55 of Rural Retreat, Virginia passed away Sunday, January 23, 2011 in the Wythe County Community Hospital.
Vickie was born on September 17, 1955 in Galax, Virginia to Dice and Oleda Cochran Burnette.
She is survived by her husband Gene Gillespie of Rural Retreat, Virginia; step-daughter Gina Largen of Woodlawn, Virginia; sister and fiance' Denise Burnette and Rupert Fink of Galax, Virginia; aunts Mildred Dickerson and Nancy Wilson both of Galax, Virginia; uncle Horace Cochran of Galax, Virginia.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family request donations be made to the Vickie Gillespie Scholarship Fund C/O Rural Retreat High School.
