Vicki Galyean
Haga
January 6, 1952 – December 12, 2022
Vicki G. Haga, Age 70, born on January 6th, 1952, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, December 12th, 2022, from a brief, aggressive bout with cancer. She carried the love of Christ in her heart, and openly shared Him with everyone she met. She was adamant she was going home to meet her Lord and Savior and was sure to let everyone know.
She is survived by her Husband- Pastor Ben Haga; Daughter and Son-in-Law – Lynn and Jody Funk; Grandchildren- Austin (Shae) Funk and Kayleigh Funk; Sons/Spouses: Jeff and Libby Haga; Grandchildren – Jared (Lauren) Haga and Alyssa Haga; Great-Grandchild – Karsyn Haga; Sean and Christine Haga; Grandchild – Nathaniel Haga (Gage Oakley-McGill) Brother/Sister-in-Law: Mark and Donna Galyean Uncle and Spouse: Roger and Diane Galyean; Several Cousins, Nieces and Nephews; Many Special Friends. She was predeceased in death by both parents, FC and Bonnie Galyean. As the first lady of her church, Grace Baptist, in Fries, VA, she cared for each person deeply. Many times, she ensured that each person was provided for in whatever need they may have. She was a prayer advocate always. She loved the people and stood on the Word of God. She was an ideal pastor's wife. She prayed for him, and was a great helpmate in the ministry. She was quick to defend him, love him and support him. She was generous and loving to all. Vicki was the picture of "Live, Love, Laugh." Her family motto was to Live for the Lord, Love others like Christ loves us, and Laugh as absolutely often as you can. She loved to travel with family and friends, keeping her bags packed ready to go at a moment's notice. As a mother, she led by example. Teaching, guiding, leading her children and (others) as a witness before the Lord. She lived her testimony, not only talking the talk, but walking the walk.
The funeral service will be held Friday at 2:00 PM in the Grace Baptist Church with Pastor Ben Haga officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 11:00 AM until time for the funeral service at the Grace Baptist Church.
