Darrell was born in Galax, Virginia on November 4, 1948 to Elmer and Hazel Ruth Rector Bartlett.
He is survived by his son Christian Kyle Bartlett of Greensburg, Pennsylvania and brother Donald (Bones) Bartlett of Galax, Virginia.
