Vernon Arwood Johnson better known as Woody Johnson age 80 of Fries, Virginia passed away Sunday, August 23, 2020 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

Mr. Johnson was born in Carroll County, Virginia on April 20, 1940 to Sidney and Nancy Montgomery Johnson.

He proudly served his country in the US Army.

He is survived by his wife Betty Lucille Copenhaver Johnson; two sons and daughters-in-law William and Debbie Johnson; Mike and Rebecca Johnson; sister Magdalene Mallory all of Fries, Virginia; five grandchildren Kayla McCoy; Denise Absher; Matthew Johnson; Carter Johnson and Ethan Johnson; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date with the time and place to be announced.
