Vera Dillon Kirby, 91, of Fries, VA passed away Friday, December 7, 2012 in the Twin County Regional Hospital, Galax, VA . Vera was born May 24, 1921 in Carroll County, Virginia to Earl Levi Sizemore and Flora Alice Roberts Sizemore. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands James Richard Dillon and Tom L. Kirby, son James Franklin Dillon and brother Barney Sizemore.

She is survived by daughter Patricia D. Rados of Derwood Maryland; sisters Mella Hill of Fries and Irene Eastridge of Woodlawn. Three grandchildren: Tony Dillon, Terry Dillon, Tina Gilger, six great grandchildren several nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Matt Linkous officiating. Interment will follow in the McKenzie Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
