Velin Beatrice Billings Carico age 82 of Fries, Virginia passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at her home.

Mrs. Carico was born in Grayson County, Virginia on February 8, 1943 to Ed and Lula Tilley Billings. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings Vada Martin, Ada Isom, Treva Roberts, Troy Wayne Billings, Coy Billings and Carson Billings.

She is survived by her husband Clayton Carico of Fries, Virginia, a daughter and son-in-law Teresa and Greg "Cricket" Anders of  Rural Retreat, Virginia, and son and daughter-in-law Eddie Carico and Mary Beth Bond of Fries, Virginia, four grandchildren Nikki and Josh Underwood of Galax, Virginia, Chris and Shelly Anders of Fries, Virginia, Holly and Chris Sell of Elkin, North Carolina and Candace and Seth Ayers of Fancy Gap Virginia; eleven great-grandchildren Cayden, Lexi, Ryker and Asher Underwood, Evelyn Anders, Brooklyn, Madelyn and Seth Ayers, Lindsey, Kileigh and Presley Sell; sister Rosa Mays of Galax, Virginia;  brothers George Billings, Jefferson (Jay) Billings both of Galax, Virgina; Charlie Billings of Fries, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

Burial will be private.
