Velda Hodges Jennings age 94 widow of Glenn Martin Jennings of Galax, Va. passed away Friday, December 22, 2006 in Twin County Regional Hospital. She was born on July 13, 1912 in North Carolina. She is survived by a daughter & son-in-law Sandra & Earl Williams; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sisters Nell Burris and Elwood Hackler all of Galax, Va.. Several nieces & nephews also survive. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at 11:00 AM in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Ted Bartlett officiating. Burial will follow in Meadow Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday morning from ten until service time at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
