Vaughn Ray Arey's Obituary
Dr. Vaughn Ray Arey age 63 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, March 29, 2012 at his home.
Dr. Arey was born in Albermarle, North Carolina on May 21, 1948 to David Reuben and Oma Plyler Arey.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Dave Arey.
He is survived by his wife Dr. Jo Ann Arey of Galax, Virginia; daughter Kelly Arey of the home; brothers and sisters-in-law Lonzo and Martha Arey; Johnny and Betty Arey; Clyde and Mary Catherine Arey all of Salisbury, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews.
A private service will be held for the family members only at a later date. Friends wishing to do so may come by Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home Friday, Saturday or Sunday between the hours of 8:30 AM through 5:00 PM to sign the register book and pick up a memorial on Dr. Arey. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Emergency Fund of the Galax Presbyterian Church or to the Backpack Buddies, P.O. Box 2 Galax, Virginia
