Vada Custer age 93 of Galax, Va. passed away Tuesday, January l, 2008 at her home. Mrs. Custer was born on October 11, 1914 in Bluefield, Virginia to O.W. & Addie Patton Leonard. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Revely Custer. She is survived by two sisters-in-law Abigail Boyer of Fries, Va.; Marie Thomas of Galax, Va.; brother-in-law Jarrett Custer of Galax, Va. and special caregiver Pam Swinney. The funeral service will be held Friday, January 4, 2008 at 11:00 AM in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Ken Blevins officiating. Burial will follow in Felts Memorial Cemetery. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
