Troy Hoover Leonard age 78 of Galax, Va. passed away Thursday, April 24,2008 at Sunbridge Rehab Center in Sparta, N.C.. Mr. Leonard was born in Carroll County, Va. on July 24, 1929 to Presley & Lessie Bourne Leonard. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Melba Leonard and son Roger Leonard. He is survived by his daughters & son-in-law Barbara & Mike Talley of Clayton, N.C.; Margaret Ruth Leonard of Galax, Va.; son & daughter-in-law Robert & Barbara Leonard of Galax, Va.; daughter-in-law Sharon Leonard of Independence, Va.; sisters & brothers-in-law Zollie & R.F. Lawson of Woodlawn, Va.; Gladys & Robert Lineberry of Galax,Va.; brothers & sisters-in-law Barnett & Mae Leonard; Garnett & Brenda Leonard all of Galax, Va.; sisters-in-law Beryl Jean Leonard of Galax, Va.; Geneva Leonard of Fries, Va.; Clara Leonard of Pulaski, Va.; Lavora Redd of Hillsville, Va.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Saturday, April 26, 2008 at 2:00 pm in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Carroll Lineberry & Lawrence Warden officiating. Burial will follow in Felts Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
