Troy Charlie Rippey age 87 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, October 7, 2024 at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, North Carolina.

Mr. Rippey was born on September 22, 1937 in Carroll County, Virginia to Troy and Ada Lowe Rippey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Geraldine Eastridge Rippey.

He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law Gale and Gena Rippey; Myron and Julie Rippey all of Galax, Virginia; one granddaughter and husband Kendra and Kevin McKinnon;  four great-grandchildren Mason; Madalyn; Asher and Ellie; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor  Brian Combs and  Pastor Bill Ring officiating. Burial will follow in the Felts Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.

The family will be at 2286 Delhart Road in Baywood VA to receive family and friends for condolences.
