Travis Eugene Shumate age 30 of Johnson City, Tennessee passed away Monday, February 12, 2018 at his home.

Travis was born on March 13,1987.

Travis was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Nancy Louise Dalton and a niece Lily Renee Shumate.

He is survived by his mother and step-father Mary Ann Shumate Bell and Jimmy; father and step-mother Clydie Shumate and Karen all of Johnson City, Tennessee; twin brother and his wife Brandon Lane and April Shumate of Knoxville, Tennessee; brother Ryan Bradford Shumate of Johnson City, Tennessee; sisters Jessica Nicole Shumate and Katelyn Grace Shumate both of Johnson City, Tennessee; brothers Brody Jamison Bell; Austin Bell all of Johnson City, Tennessee; paternal grandparents Harold Eugene and Linda Janet Shumate of Woodlawn, Virginia; paternal grandfather Augustus Lane Cyphers; maternal step-grandfather Roger Dalton; step-grandmother Hattie Bell of Mi.; aunts, uncles and their children Kim & Sam Parks (Justin & Adam Phipps); Amy & Ricky Patton (Kayla, Matthew and Sarah); Cheryl Walker and the late Richard Walker (Kayla, Lauren, Steven and Christopher);Jerry and Pamela Melton (Tanner & Tyler)niece Bella Shumate; numerous great cousins.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Fairview Baptist Church with Pastor Sam Holder; the Rev. Earle Chute and the Rev. Cas Horton officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from six until eight at the Fairview Baptist Church.
