Tommy Elwood Bobbitt age 78 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Friday, August 1, 2025 at the  Senior Homeshare in Galax.

Tommy was born on March 9, 1947 in Carroll County, Virginia to Wayne and Inez Berrier Bobbitt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Roby Bobbitt.

He is survived by his wife Becky Bobbitt of Woodlawn, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Tommy Bobbitt, Jr. and Ella of Galax, Virginia; sister and brother-in-law Dian Ramey and Pete of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; brother and sister-in-law AJ Bobbitt and Gale of Georgia; two grandchildren Dylan Bobbitt and Katlyn Bobbitt; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Monday at 11:00 AM in the Woodlawn Cemetery with Chaplain Robbie Vance officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday night from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 2900 North Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, Florida 33607 .
