Tom (Tomahawk) Carico, age 49, Galax, VA died Saturday, Nov. 01, 2014 at the Woltz Hospice Home, Dobson, NC.
Mr. Carico was born June 2, 1965 in Grayson County, VA to Fred Clay, Jr. and Patricia Alice Galyean Carico.
He is survived by his wife, Amy Rector Carico, Galax, VA, father and step-mother, Fred Carico, Jr. and Margie, Galax, VA, mother and step-father, Patricia Bond and Randy, Baywood Community ; brother and friend, Doug Carico and Tammy Smith, Galax, step-sister and spouse, Tiffany & Cameron Karfit; step-brother, James Chandler, Hillsville, VA; niece, Latosha Bowman; nephew, Garrett; great-nephews, Tryston Bowman and J.T. Bowman.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Snow Hill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Galyean Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, Nov. 3, 2014 from 6:00 until 9:00 PM at the church. Officiating ministers will be the Rev. Ernie Smith and Pastor Ricky Easter. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mtn. Valley Hospice, Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zepher Road, Dobson, NC 27017.
