Timothy Eugene Byrd age 64 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2023 in the UVA Medical Center.

Timothy was born in Galax, Virginia on January 11, 1959 to James and Betty Shupe Byrd. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Roger Byrd.

He is survived by his wife Delores Byrd of Galax, Virginia; daughter Amanda Bottomley of Galax, Virginia; son Ronald Byrd of Fries, Virginia; stepdaughter and husband Jennifer and Greg Watson of Roanoke, Virginia; sister Patricia Byrd of Fort Washington, Maryland; sister- in-law Diane Byrd of Fries, Virginia; four grandchildren Tyler Bottomley; Makenna Byrd; Elliott Byrd and Roland Byrd; two nieces and one nephew.

The funeral service will be held Monday at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Sam Holder and Harold Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in the Atkins Memorial Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 PM until time for the service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
