Thurman Freddie Davis, age 50, of Fries, VA,passed away at his home Friday, Sept. 12, 2008.

Born February 7, 1958 to Berlin & Ethel Monday Davis in Carroll County, VA, Mr. Davis
is survived by his Wife, Terry Taylor Davis of the home, step-daughters & step-son-in-law, Marcia Blevins, Wytheville, Tabatha & Eric Callahan, Fries, special grandson, Christopher David Ward and a special granddaughter on the way; grandchildren Jordan, Jonathon, Alycia & Cameron; sisters & brothers in-law, Dossa Rea & Roger Kinzer, Fries, Clover & Anthony Choate, Galax, brothers & sister-in-law, Berkley Davis, Fries, Arthur Davis, Wytheville, Donnie Davis, Max Meadows, Monte Davis, Abingdon, Sherman & Debbie Davis, Woodlawn; half-sisters Lilly & Santa-Fe; half-brothers June, Onie & Roscoe Davis; several nieces & nephews. The family would like to thank special friends, Kathy Sykes & Wendy Steppe.

The funeral service will be held Monday, Sept. 15, 2008 at 7:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with visitation to follow after the funeral service at the funeral home. Burial will follow on Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008, 10:00 AM, in the Mt Hope Cemetery. Officiating minister will be the Rev. Titus Anderson.
