Thomas John Vosik passed away on July 13, 2024, in Galax, Virginia, after a long illness. He was predeceased by his parents Ben F. Vosik (1981) and Katherine H. Vosik née Kielian (1998) of Omaha and Lincoln Nebraska, and his beloved sister Susan Vosik of Massachusetts (2013).

Tom was born on July 15, 1951, in Omaha, Nebraska. He grew up in Omaha and attended high school at St. John Vianney Seminary in Elkhorn NE. He then studied and graduated from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln where he majored in English. Over the years, Tom lived in Bozeman, Montana, and in Virginia and North Carolina, and worked as an educator and at a county children's day care center.

Thomas was an inspiring instructor at Guilford Technical Community College in Jamestown NC. A lifelong reader, and creative and talented writer and poet, he loved to talk about politics and philosophy. His many interests included music, literature, religion, cinema, and furry creatures.

We are grateful for the skilled nursing care that Thomas received at Galax Health & Rehab in Galax, Virginia, toward the end of his life. Tom was a kind, caring, and artistic person who is remembered with love by his cousins including Marianne Kielian-Gilbert, Nancy Kielian, Margaret Kielian, and Kathy Hayduska.
