Thomas Dewey Sturdivant, Jr. age 46 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at this home.

Thomas was born on November 29, 1977 in Galax, Virginia to Thomas Dewey Sturdivant, Sr. and Patricia Ann Lineberry Sturdivant.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife Frances Rose  (Angel) Sturdivant; maternal grandfather B.L. Lineberry, Jr. and his paternal grandparents Dewey and Dora Lee Sturdivant.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather Patricia and James Bullion of Galax, Virginia; brothers and sisters-in-law Daniel Bullion (Amanda); Aaron Bullion (Kimberly); maternal grandmother Ilene Lineberry; daughters and sons-in-law Nikki & Amador Gonzalez; Alisha and Clifton Green; Heather Gravely; seven grandchildren Riquelme Gonzalez; Xavian Gonzalez; Kenyon, Alexzander,  Dominic and  Evalee Rose Brown; Jerrell Thomas Green; two nieces Elaina and Rachel; one nephew Isaac; several aunts uncles; nieces, nephews and cousins; special spiritual sister Sherry Barnard.

A memorial service will be held Friday at 1:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Jeff Pickett and Pastor Jermey Morton officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 11:00 AM until time for the service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. Inurnment will be private for the family.
