Thomas Dewey Sturdivant age 54 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, May 26, 2011 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.
Tommy was born on September 19, 1956 in Galax, Virginia to Dewey Carl and Dora Lee Sexton Sturdivant.
In addition to his father Dewey Sturdivant of Galax, Virginia he is survived by a son Thomas Dewey Sturdivant, Jr. (T.J.) of Woodlawn, Virginia; sisters and brothers-in-law Carol and Gary Boring of Galax, Virginia; Betty and Charlie McDaniel of Max Meadows, Virginia; niece Pam Phillips; nephews Joe Honeycutt and Ben Honeycutt; great niece Jaiden Honeycutt; several cousins; four aunts and two uncles.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 4:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. James Cowley and Charlie Alderman officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 2:00 PM until service time at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
