Thomas Michael "Mike" Potter of Burlington, North Carolina passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday July 4th at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Jones Potter and a son Kris Potter both of Burlington, N.C.; his mother, Betty Bedwell of Fries, Virginia; one sister and brother-in-law, Debbie & Ronnie Largen of Galax, Va; mother-in-law, Carlene Jones of Fries, Virginia; a brother-in-law & wife, Jack & Trish Jones of Fries, Va.; two nieces and one nephew also survive. He was preceded in death by his father, J.D. Potter. Mike was a former employee of Burlington Industries where he worked for over thirty-five years. A graveside service will be held Friday, July 7th at 11:00 AM in the Fries Cemetery with Rev. Fred Jennings officiating. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Fries Rec Center. The family will receive friends anytime at the home of his sister, Debbie Largen.
