Thelma Burton Morehead Worley age 88 of Galax, Va. passed away Saturday in Twin County Regional Hospital. She was born on February ll, 1918 in Bland, Va. to the late Charles Robert & Ressie May Dunnigan Burton. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Sidney Worley. She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law Melba & Don Knox of Galax, Va.; son & daughter-in-law Ronald & Doris Morehead of Punta Gorda, Florida; sister Eleanor Johnson of Bland, Va.; brother & sister-in-law Charles & Louise Burton, Jr. of Midlothian, Va.; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Tuesday January 2, 2007 at 11:00 AM in Mt. Vale United Methodist Church with Rev. Rick Lindamood officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from ten until service time at Mt. Vale United Methodist Church.
