Thelma Robertson Widner age 79 of Fries, Virginia passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015 in the Grayson Nursing & Rehab Center.

Mrs. Widner was born on December 22, 1935 in Carroll County, Virginia to Emory and Carrie Swinney Robertson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son Michael Widner.

She is survived by her special companion Bobby Johnson of Fries, Virginia; daughters and son-in-law Michelle Winesett of Fries, Virginia; Lisa and Steve Kirby of Tomball, Texas; son and daughter-in-law Ricky and Connie Widner of Christiansburg, Virginia; step-sons and spouse Randy and Terri Johnson of Danville, Virginia; Ricky Johnson of Fries, Virginia; daughter-in-law Kathy Widner of Fries, Virginia; sister Glady Wampler of Greensboro, North Carolina; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Friday, July 24, 2015 at 1:00 PM in the Grace Baptist Church with the Rev. Ben Haga and the Rev. Larry Linkous officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery at Fries, Virginia. The family will receive friends Friday from 11:00 AM until time for the funeral service at the Grace Baptist Church.
