Thelma Lee Roberts age 91 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, February 25, 2024 in the Northern Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Roberts was born on October 29, 1932 in Lilly Brook. West Virginia to Lawrence and Mary Smith Gray. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Johnnie Wally Roberts; siblings Everette Gray; Charles Gry; Royce Gray; Ethel Daughenbaugh; Blanche Murphy; Dorothy Murphy; Catherine Moretz; Mary Ritchey.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Betty and Edward Book of Hillsville, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law Roy and Frances Gray of Galax, Virginia; two grandchildren; Lori Landreth and Tiffany Fields; six great-grandchildren Nicholas Landreth; Brandon Fields; Addison Fields; Olivia Kyle; Myles Kyle and Kaimin Shelton;  one great-great-grandchild Ashton Landreth; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Thursday at 2:00 PM in the Monta Vista Cemetery with Pastor J.R. Bowers officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
