Thelma Reavis Patton, 96, of Galax, Virginia passed away Friday December 23, 2016 at Galax Nursing and Rehab. Mrs. Patton was born April 13, 1920 in Galax, Virginia to the late Eddie Levi Reavis and Zella Lucinda Higgins Reavis. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Orville W. Patton.

Mrs. Patton is survived by son and daughter-in-law: Eddie and Julie Patton of Powhatan, Virginia; grandchildren Will Vance and Sandra Patton, Jeffery Patton, and Troy James Patton; three great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016 at the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with burial to follow in the Leonard Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening (December 26, 2016) from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. Officiating minister will be the Rev. Ted Bartlett.
