Thelma Grace McCoy Lundy, age 92, Woodlawn, VA, died at the Forsyth Medical Center, Winston Salem, NC Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013.
Mrs. Lundy was born March 17, 1921 in Williamson, West Virginia to John Lee and Callie Harmon McCoy
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Lundy.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Nancy & Jim Spicer, Hillsville, VA; sons & daughters-in-law, Bill & Mary Lundy, Woodlawn, VA, Cecil Lundy, Woodlawn, VA, David & Carolyn Lundy, High Point, NC; sisters, Callie Mae Secrest, Fredericksburg, VA & Carmen McPherson, Shepherdstown, W. VA; grandchildren, Jeff & Belinda Lundy, Ricky & Diane Lundy, Brent & Angela Lundy, Sharon & Charlie Brumfield, Kevin & Stacey Lundy, Joseph Spicer & Kirk & Becky Spicer; five great- grandchildren, also, survive.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, Carrollton Pike with burial to follow at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Cranberry. Officiating minister will be Pastor John Grimm. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Monday, Oct. 7, 2013 at the church. Flowers will be appreciated or donations may be made to Mt. Olivet Cemetery Fund or Mt. Olivet United Methodist Building Fund, C/O of Alice Summers, 82 Falcon Drive, Woodlawn, VA 24381.
