Thelma Irene Miller, known as Logene Miller, age 95, of Fries, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, in the Waddell Nursing and Rehab Center. Born in Fries, Virginia, on July 23, 1929, she was the daughter of Elbert and Sallie Johnson Anders. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Garfield Miller, Sr.; her son, James Garfield Miller, Jr.; and several loving siblings.

She is survived by her son and his fiancée, Gary Miller and Jo Rosser of Johnson City, Tennessee; her sister, Peggy Douglas of Salem, Virginia; her brother, Ted Anders of Bland, Virginia; three grandchildren and their spouses, Sarah and Hanes Swingle, Rebecca and Jonathan McCarter, Hannah and Erin Gillespie; three great-grandchildren, Sylvie Swingle, Everett McCarter, Ryland McCarter; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held on Sunday at 2:00 PM in the Grace Baptist Church with the Rev. Ben Haga officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery at Fries, Virginia. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:00 PM until the time for the funeral service at the Grace Baptist Church.
