Thelma Louise Stamper Burnette age 66 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, January 25, 1998.

Mrs. Burnette was born on October 6, 1931 to John Wilson and Gussie Stamper.

She is survived by her husband Kenneth Burnette; sons and daughters-in-law Gene G. and Teresa Bedwell; Toney and Sue Bedwell; step-son and wife David and Mandy Burnette; brothers and sisters -in-law Herschel and Artie Stamper; John and Wanda Stamper; grandson Jeremy Bedwell;  step-grandchildren and spouses Lisa and Jim Carpenter; Tina and Gary Frazier; Regina and Barry Brizendine; Terri and Mark Brown; Jordan Burnette and Hannah Burnette.

The funeral service was  held Thursday, January 29, 1998 in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Lacy King officiating. Burial followed in the Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery, Fries, Virginia.
