Tex Ritter Bowers' Obituary
Tex Ritter Bowers age 74 of Lambsburg, Virginia passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2012 in the North Carolina Baptist Hospital.
Mr. Bowers was born on April 24, 1938 in Ivanhoe, Virginia to James Harden and Sadie Gertrude Hill Bowers.
He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law Jeffery & Glenda Bowers of Lambsburg, Virginia; Dewey and Patricia Bowers, Ronnie Bowers all of Bassett, Virginia; grandchildren Markus Bowers, Dewayne Bowers, Angela Bowers and Heather Bowers; sisters Peggy Wright of Max Meadows, Virginia; Lettie McGee of Ivanhoe, Virginia; brother Walter Bowers of Ivanhoe, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Friday, May 11, 2012 at 3:00 PM in the River Hill Christian Church with Rev. Jimmy Linville officiating. Burial will follow in the River Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday fron 2:00 PM until time for the funeral service at River Hill Christian Church.
The family wishes to express a specail thank you to Dr. John and Nora Tracy, Blue Ridge Home Health and the Guardian Ambulance Service of Galax for the love and care given to Mr. Bowers.
