Teresa Mae Mason, age 78, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2023. She was born on September 6, 1944, to the late Robert Doss and Alice Maycko Burchette Ingo in Wythe County, Virginia.

She is survived by her children, Jamey Wright of Max Meadows, VA, Jeff Wright (Tammy Cartwright) of Wytheville, VA, and Melissa Combs (Terry) of Fancy Gap, VA; grandchildren Charlie Wright (Amber), Michelle Wolfe (Eddie), Travis Combs (Ashley), India Spivey, Ashley Sprouse, Tara Hicks (Jared), Sarah Wright (Curtis), and Jessica Wright; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Teresa, the oldest of six children, was also survived by five brothers and sisters, Donnie Doss (Carol) of Ivanhoe, VA, Butch Doss (Carla) of Bland, VA, Patty Burke (Kent) of Kingsport, TN, Lynn Kirk of Kingsport, TN; and several nieces and nephews.

Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, sister Sherry Shrader, beloved husband Willie Gale Mason, treasured yorkie Ginger, and many other loved ones that she will get to spend eternity with.

In her time working at the cotton mill in Fries and furniture factories in Galax, she made the best of friends. She is survived by special friend Linus Gravely. Teresa was full of life and especially sassy; a lover of nature, the mountains, the New York Yankees, Twilight, westerns, sweets, thingamabobs, dumaflatchies, and her family. She will be severely missed.

In accordance with her wishes, a funeral will not be held. Instead, a small gathering or celebration of life will be held at a later date.
