Terence Edward Gleason better known as Terry Gleason age 65 of Fries, Virginia passed away Sunday, April 13th  at his home.

Terry was born on January 27, 1960, in Evanston, Illinois to John James and Barbara Grace Gleason. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Mary Gleason.

Terry was a dedicated member of Galax Moose Lodge #733, Galax JAM instructor and volunteer at Matthews Living History Farm. He enjoyed his life as a farmer and musician.

He is survived by his wife Susan Kent Trogdon Gleason of Fries, Virginia; daughter Claire Burke Gleason of Blacksburg, Virginia; brothers and sisters-in-law John and Peggy Gleason, Jr. of  Wheaton, Illinois; Peter Gleason; William and Mary Anne Gleason all of River Forest, Illinois; sister and brother-in-law Laura and John Moran of Wheaton, Illinois; sister-in-law Karen Kluever of Franklin, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Friday, April 25, 2025, at 3:00 PM in the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Woodlawn, Virginia with Father Herman Katongole officiating. Burial will follow in the Fries Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the church.
