Tara Jo Porter Hampton age 42 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, January 2, 2025 in the Lewis Gale Medical Center.

TJ was born on May 15, 1982 in Galax, Virginia to Alvin  and Tara Porter.

She was preceded in death by her nephew Houston Caldwell.

In addition to her parents Alvin and Tara Porter, TJ is survived by her son Maddox Creed Hampton; sister and brother-in-law Tess and Kenneth Caldwell; brothers Felix Porter and Cody Porter all of Galax, Virginia; two nieces Hayden Caldwell and Aries Porter.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM in the Sharp Cemetery with Pastor Rodney Christman and Pastor Theron Phillips officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
