Tammy Louise Burcham Vass age 49 of Hillsville, Virginia passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014 in Woodlawn, Virginia.

Tammy was born in Galax, Virginia on December 13, 1964 to Ralph and Carolyn Bobbitt Burcham.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Helen "Yoohoo" Thomason and Kyle Bobbitt; her paternal grandparents Clayton and Clara Burcham.

Tammy is survived by her children Jessica Vass and Jeffery Vass both of Hillsville, Virginia; mother and step-father Carolyn and Clarence Jones of Galax, Virginia; father and step-mother Ralph and Sheldon Burcham of Stuart, Virginia; sisters-in-law and spouses Gladys and Charlie Sumner; Earlene and Roland Richardson; brothers-in-law and spouse Dennis Vass; Russell and Betty Vass all of Hillsville, Virginia; several nieces and nephews; aunt and uncle Judy and Larry Brannock; uncle Ray Bobbitt; several great aunts and uncles; several cousins; special friend Michael Robinson.

The funeral service will be held Friday, February 21, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Trinity Baptist Church with Brother Garry Adams, the Rev. Buster Sechrist and the Rev. Wayne Marion officiating. Burial will follow in the Galax City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from six until eight at the Trinity Baptist Church.
