Talmadge Moxley Jones' Obituary
The Rev. Talmadge Moxley Jones age 82 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, July 11, 2013 in the Waddell Nursing and Rehab Center.
Rev. Jones was born in Elk Creek, Virginia on March 25, 1931 to Benton and Blanche Poe Jones In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Etta Rose Jones and grandson Keith Jones.
He is survived by his daughter Linda D. Goad of Galax, Virginia; son Gary R. Jones of Roanoke, Virginia; great-grandchildren Emily Goad and Matthew Goad; sister Elizabeth Wingate of Independence, Virginia.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 3:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Ted Bartlett and Bishop Leon Goad officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
