Susie Underwood Shupe's Obituary
Susie Underwood Shupe, 66, of Alexandria, passed away suddenly Monday, February 15, 2010.
Susie was born November 25, 1943 in Fries, VA to Arthur Garland Underwood and Frances Funk Underwood.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Otto Harrison Shupe of the home; son and his financee' Michael Shupe and Sharon Felts of Fries; daughter & son-in-law Heather & Daniel Osborne of Clintwood, VA; five grandchildren: Lori & Eddie Shupe, Kylie, Seth and Micah Osborne; brothers & sisters-in-law: Arthur (Jerry) & Janice Underwood; James (Jim) & Dreama Underwood; Donald Underwood; Alan & Emma Underwood all of Fries and a sister Carolyn Underwood also of Fries. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends Friday, February 19, from 5 until 7 pm at Franconia United Methodist Church, Alexandria, VA with a service to follow.
The family will receive friends again on Sunday, February 21, from 2pm until 4pm at the Liberty Hill United Methodist Church in Fries with a service to follow. Rev. Donald White, Rev. Charles Smythers and Rev. Ken Blevins will officiate. Interment will follow in the Liberty Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations to Camp Jacob, 2723 Camp Jacob Road, Clintwood, VA 24228.
