Susan Lynn Melton age 70 of Hillsville, Virginia passed away Monday, June 22, 2020 at her home.

Susan was born in Galax, Virginia on June 7, 1950 to Freddie Otto and Lou Zenna Taylor Alley.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years Billy Ray Melton, Sr. of Hillsville, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law Amanda and James Whittington of Woodlawn, Virginia; Jennifer Melton of Galax, Virginia; sons and daughter-in-law Billy Ray Melton, Jr. and Jessica of Ennice, North Carolina; Bobby Ray Melton of Galax, Virginia; sister Thelma Hall of Galax, Virginia; nine grandchildren Sabrina Dawn Melton, Helan Marie Melton, Macen Ray Anderson, Brynn Lovette Melton, Bryleigh Lynn Melton, Bryce Andrew Melton, Jasmyn Renee Whittington, Cameron James Whittington, Alexia Nikohl Whittington; several nieces and nephews; special friend Shirley Whittington.

A graveside service will be held Thursday at 1:00 PM in the Monta Vista Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
