Steven Ellis Semones, age 66 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Woltz Hospice House in Dobson, North Carolina. Mr. Semones was born November 5, 1951 in Galax, Virginia to the late Alger Semones and Louise Funk Semones.

He is survived by his wife: Faye Semones of the home; daughters and sons-in-law: Becky and Robert Hampton of Newton, North Carolina; Brooke and Rocky Valdemar of Sparta, North Carolina; son Bobby Semones of Sparta, North Carolina; grandchildren Britt and Megan Morton, Bekah Morton, Trish Hampton, Lilianna Valdemar, Nevaeh Semones, Phoenix Semones, Daniella Valdemar, Malachi Valdemar; great grandchildren Zandon McCrary, Willow Morton and Callen Morton. Also surviving is sister-in-law Marcia Semones of Hillsville; sisters-in-law and their husbands Judy and Ronnie Sharp; Pam and Gary Hancock, and Joan Isom all of Woodlawn; brother-in-law and wife: Butch and Cathy Isom of Galax.

The funeral service will be held Friday, January 26, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Joe Tolley, Butch Isom and Junior Bullion officiating. Interment will follow in the McKenzie Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
