Steven Jeffrey Bivens, 59, of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2016 in the Woltz Hospice Home, Dobson, North Carolina. He was born in Los Angeles, California to the late Edgar Bivens and Bernice Nevares Bivens.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Bivens of the home, daughters and son-in-law Taryn and Jordan Moore of Ohio; Kelly Bivens of Galax, Virginia; three grandchildren Blaire Moore, Drake Moore, Ezra Moore; mother Bernice Bivens of Idaho; sisters Nancy Paluso of California, Mary Tillinghast of Wytheville, Virginia; Patricia Santa Cruz of Idaho, Shirley Donesley of Washington State; brothers Edgar Bivens, Jr. of New York, Timothy Bivens and Donald Bivens both of California; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, 322 Winterberry Road, Galax, Virginia with Todd Akerlind officiating.
