Sterling Denny Lawson known as Junior Lawson age 60 of Ivanhoe, Va. passed away Sunday, October 7, 2007 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. Lawson was born on July 27, 1947 in Carroll County, Va. to Denny Warren & Emma Frances Childress Lawson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Jackie Lawson. He is survived by his daughters & sons-in-law Shannon & Barry Gallimore of Fries, Va.; Carolyn Chrisley; Linda & Brad Dunford all of Max Meadows, Va.; son Michael Lawson; sisters & brothers-in-law Pat Martin & Aaron Haga of Altavista, Va.; Shelia Hodge & Randy Price; Tammy & Robbie Baker all of Fries, Va.; seven grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at 11:00 am at Mt. Hope United Methodist Church with Rev. Matt Linkous officiating. The body will lie-in-state one hour before the funeral service. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope U.M. Church Cemetery with Military Rites by Grayson VFW Post 7726. The family will receive friends Monday night from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
