Sterling Olin "Bill" Brown, Jr. age 55 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2008 in
Lynchburg, Virginia. Bill was born on October 30, 1952 in Freeport, Florida to Sterling Olin Brown, Sr. & Mary Ward Brown. He is survived by his wife Shirley Brown of Galax, Va.; daughters & son-in-law Lorrie Dale Brown of Roanoke, Va.; Cathy & Jeff Dalton of Princeton, West Virginia; son & daughter-in-law James & Dana Farlay of Princeton, West Virginia; sisters & brothers-in-law Linda & Joe Yaun of DeSuniak Springs, Florida; Kenny & O'neal Stone of Ponce De Leon, Florida; Elaine & Carl O'neal of Libby, Montana; Syble Daw of Solely, Alabama; brother & sister-in-law Elvis & Dale Brown of Freeport, Florida; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Friday, October 24, 2008 at 2:00 pm in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Ted Bartlett officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the Hatcher Cemetery in Freeport, Florida. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from six until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
