Stephen Gwyn Spencer age 52 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at his home.
Stephen was born in Galax,
Virginia on June 19, 1960 to Lacey and Dovey Henderson Spencer. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Ray Spencer.
He is survived by his wife Susan Spencer of Galax, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Christopher Brooks of Ridgecrest, California; step-daughter and husband Shannon and Justin Edwards of Galax, Virginia; step-son and wife Jason and Sara Adkins of Austinville, Virginia; grandchildren Payton Edwards; Cambree Edwards; Macie Adkins and Madison Adkins; sisters and brothers-in-law Bonnie and John Ayers; Sue and Curtis Andrews; Joyce and Bill Bottomley all of Galax, Virginia; sister-in-law Joan Carico of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 1:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Wayburn Mosley officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 noon until time for the funeral service at the funeral home.
