Stephen Mittman age 60 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, July 14, 2019 at his home.

Stephen was born in Galax, Virginia on December 2, 1958 to Robert and Ethel J. Goins Mittman.

In addition to his mother Ethel Parnell of Galax, Virginia he is survived by two sons Kevin Mittman of Galax, Virginia; Javarius Phipps of Independence, Virginia; sisters and brothers-in-law Rosemary and Minister Bill Cox of Galax, Virginia; Jennifer Bryan of New Jersey; Pammie and Alberto Castillo of Galax, Virginia; Penny France of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; brother and special friend Thomas Goins and Margaret Sawyers of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Sunday at 4:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Minister Matt Brown officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3:00 PM until time for the service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
