Stephen Reeves Collins' Obituary
Stephen Reeves Collins age 71 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014 in the North Carolina Baptist Hospital.
Reeves was born on April 28, 1943 in Roanoke, Virginia to Stephen Harley and Virginia Reeves Collins.
He is survived by his wife Joan Diamond Collins; son and daughter-in-law Stephen M. and Mary D. Collins all of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren Stephen Tyler Collins and Bethany Shae Collins; sister and brother-in-law Sue and Glenn Diamond, Jr.; sister-in-law Brenda Diamond all of Galax, Virginia; nieces and spouse Cherie and Harvey Stowers; Cindy Diamond; special cousin Janice Wilson.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, January 4, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Randy Morris and the Rev. John Grimm officiating. Burial will follow in the Lebanon Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 12:30 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to either St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607-1460.
