Stella Mae Funk Whittaker age 83 of Fries, Va. passed away Friday, May 16,2008 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mrs. Whittaker was born on April 5,1925 in Grayson County, Va. to Thomas Mack & Mattie Mae Boyer Funk. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Herbert Whittaker. She is survived by a granddaughter & her husband Kimberly & Chad Ramsey of Woodlawn, Va.; four great-grandchildren and a half-sister Goldie Spears of Columbus, Ohio. A graveside service will be held Monday, May 19, 2008 at 11:00 am in Summerfield U.M.C. Cemetery with Rev. Charles Bailey officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from six until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
