Stella Mae Mcgrady's Obituary
Stella Mae Bowman McGrady age 90 of Galax, Va. passed away Sunday, November 15, 2009 at Twin County Regional Hospital.
Mrs. McGrady was born in Carroll County, Va. on March 22, 1919 to Harrison & Otilla Willard Bowman. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Louis Brown McGrady, Sr.; daughter Barbara Ann McGrady; sister Margie Largen; brothers Christy Bowman, Delmar Bowman and Eugene Bowman.
She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law Glenda & Robert T. Light; son & daughter-in-law Louis B. & Argie N. McGrady, Jr. all of Galax, Va.; grandson Jeffrey McGrady; great-grandson Garrett McGrady; sisters & brother-in-law Vida Bowman of Laurel Fork, Va.; Velma Horton of Gladesboro, Va.; Hazel & Bill Horton of Hillsville, Va.; many special nieces and friends.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at 11:00 am in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Kevin Fiorini, Rev. Ernie Smith and Chaplain Jeffrey McGrady officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from six until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
