Stella Arline Jennings age 83 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday October 4, 2021 at her home.

Mrs. Jennings was born in Carroll County, Virginia on February 3, 1938 to Temple Cornelius and Elsie Marie Alley Christley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Walter Christley, Louis Christley and Aline Johnson.

She is survived by her husband Robert Junior Jennings; daughters and sons-in-law Phyllis Dianne and Dennis Cox; Cathy Jane and Thomas Rutherford all of Galax, Virginia; three grandchildren and spouses Tammy and Wayne Edwards; Joshua and Javonah Rutherford and Jacob Rutherford; three great-grandchildren Kaitlyn Edwards; Hailey Edwards and Jamen Rutherford; sister Thelma Ward of Tennessee.

The funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM in the Midway Baptist Church with Pastor Myron Dalton officiating. Burial will follow in the Midway Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 AM until time for the service at the Midway Baptist Church.
