Stella B. Diamond age 86 of Galax, Va. passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at Twin County Regional Hospital. She was born in Wayne County, West Virginia on November 20, 1919 to the late Archie D. and Isabell Crouse Brown. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Diamond, Sr. and a son Thomas D. Diamond. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Joan & Reeves Collins; her son and daughter-in-law, Glenn, Jr. & Sue Diamond and a daughter-in-law, Brenda A. Diamond all of Galax, Va.. Three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also surive as well as several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held Friday, September 22, 2006 at 2:00 PM in the First Christian Church with Rev. Casey McKenna and Rev. Doug Hyndrich officiating. Burial will follow in Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from one until two at the First Christian Church. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Baywood Search and Rescue or the Pipers Gap Rescue Squad.
