Shirley Ann Worell Tolbert age 85 of Galax, Virginia passed away Friday August 4, 2023 in the Waddell Nursing and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Tolbert was born on August 12, 1937 in Galax, Virginia to James C. and Perry Lee Lineberry Worrell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Carl Samuel Tolbert and sister Betty Jo Wilson.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law James and Patricia Tolbert of Galax, Virginia; five grandchildren Derrick Tolbert (Jenny Jo) of Floyd, Virginia; Jennifer Shaffer of Independence, Virginia; Leeann Cheek (Joseph); Christopher Cecil; Autumn Brown (Austin) all of Galax, Virginia; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
