Shirley M. Harrison age 81 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at her home.

Mrs. Harrison was born in Carroll County, Virginia on September 3, 1936 to Otho and Lissie Horton Melton. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Bobby D. Harrison.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Ronny and Donita Harrison of  Woodlawn, Virginia; grandchildren and spouses Chad and Amy Harrison; Hannah and Josh Boles; Nathan Harrison; Kaylin Harrison; six great-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law Colene Larrowe of Woodlawn, Virginia; Sylvia and Richard Reeves; Janet Smith all of Galax, Virginia; brothers and sisters-in-law Ray and Wanda Melton of Woodlawn, Virginia; Joe and Charlene Melton of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Friday, August 31, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Landmark Baptist Church with Pastor Ronny Harrison, Pastor Chad Harrison and Pastor Josh Boles officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. Flowers will be appreciated or donations may be made to the Landmark Baptist Church.
